Important Information
Key details to be aware of before attending your DEXA scan appointment.
What is a DEXA Scan?
DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) measures bone mineral density. It is used to assess bone health, diagnose osteoporosis, and evaluate fracture risk.
Quick & Painless
The scan is completely non-invasive and painless. You remain fully clothed throughout and there is no injecting, fasting, or special preparation needed on the day.
Pregnancy Notice
Please inform our team if you are pregnant or may be pregnant before your examination begins. We may need to reschedule or take additional precautions.
